NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The York College men's track and field squad concluded their indoor campaign with a sixth place finish at the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference championships on Saturday in Newport News, Virginia.
Christopher Newport captured the crown with 129 points as they beat Salisbury for the title by five points. PSU Harrisburg finished third with 94 points while Mary Washington was fourth at 93 points. Frostburg State was one point back of UMW with 92 points while York was sixth with 63 points.

"I thought we competed well this weekend," said head coach Stephen LoBianco. "We will look to fill some of the holes we have in the outdoor season. I am looking forward to what we can do as a team during the spring."
The Spartans will begin their outdoor season on Saturday, March 30 with a trip to the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. That will be the first of five meets for the Spartans leading up to the CAC Outdoor Championships on May 3 and 4 at Christopher Newport.
