• In addition to Smyth, two other freshmen performing well in their first collegiate meet were Timmy Buzynski and Benjamin Russell. Buzynski finished 61th with a time of 21:47.1. Russell crossed the line in a time of 21:48.2.

He Said It

"The men did a great job tonight of executing the race plan and working as a pack," said LoBianco. "The main goal tonight was to execute a specific race plan and get the freshmen their first collegiate race under their belts. Freshmen Justin Smyth, Timmy Buzynski and Benjamin Russell did well. This race serves as a stepping stone for the rest of the season. I am really excited with the dynamic the guys have going on right now."
