• The Falcons jumped on the Spartans early with a pair of goals in the opening nine minutes of the game. Messiah got goals from Jessie Wynne and Abby Howard to take the early advantage. Spartan junior Jordan Conley got the Spartans on the board at the 18:49 mark with her fifth goal of the year. Freshman Chloe MacDonald tied the game for the Spartans five minutes later with her second goal of the year.
• The two teams would then alternate goals over the next 11 minutes as Devin Hursey ended that run with an unassisted goal at the 1:39 mark, tying the game at five. Meghan Fox got on the board with three seconds left in the half, giving York a 6-5 lead at the break.
• The Spartans got off to a great start to the second half as they ripped off six straight goals in the opening 12 minutes of the stanza to seize control of the game. Fox started the scoring 4:01 into the half. Regan Cook followed with a goal while Fox got two more during the run and Celly Arthur added a pair as York led 12-5 with 18:3 left in the game.
• The Falcons' Annika Johnsen halted the Spartan scoring run with a goal at the 16:58 mark but the Spartans quickly answered with goals from MacDonald and Hursey as York's lead grew to 14-6. The Falcons made it interesting late but the Spartan lead was too great for the Falcons to overcome.
